Using Square for email marketing vs flodesk or Mailerlite

Greetings.  I use the free version of Square POS.  

I would like to integrate email marketing into our marketing processes.  We have 4000 customers in our directory and 1500 are in our email list.   

We are wanting to send emails vs discount codes/sales.    

Is there a method to make square work more like mailerlite / flodesk or is it best to periodically export emails from square to another tool.  

Also, is it possible to get email marketing in square and use the free POS... I know there are plans that lower the rates and enable email marketing, but we dont really do the sales volume to justify the cost of the plan.

As I don't have any experience with Mailerlite or Flodesk, I wouldn't be able to go into too many specifics on how Square compares, but I can definitely provide you what information I have available on the Square side.

In regard to Square Marketing, feel free to review this helpful page that goes over pricing and details on all the Marketing options we have. Were there any specific functions you are interested in with Square Marketing?

Another thing is processing of payments with Square does have a processing fee, but if you are looking to keep costs lower, we do offer the Virtual Terminal or we offer your first Square Reader for free. Both of which may be good options for your business.

Thank You...  What I am taking away from the information I can find on square email capabilities is that it is targeted to selling and not really relationship building.    so now I need to figure out how to integrate Square and mailer lite with Zapier, but I think that it will be 6 months to a year out... going to start anew with mailerlite and then integrate my customer directory at a later time.
