Trying to send a marketing email to customers who purchase a package

Hi all, 

So we sell single tanning sessions and a couple of different packages of tanning sessions in a variety of amounts.  The customers have ~30 days to use the sessions in the package based on how big of a package they purchase.  

I cannot find a way to create a smart group from someone who purchases a package.  I would like to send a reminder ~23 days after they purchase that they have 1 week left to use their sessions.  

Any ideas?
