Square Marketing Email Campaign Error

I sent out an email earlier today, when it arrived in my own personal mailbox (not associated with my business account. I clicked on the "Shop now" link and received this message. (screenshot below) I double checked the link address BEFORE I sent the email out, and it was correct. On the other hand my daughter received the email and the link worked fine for her. My concern is that some of my customers are getting the same error message I did, as I have had a large number of unsubscribes today.

Did I do something wrong? I know it's to late to repair this now that I have lost the customers, but how do I avoid it in the future?

Hello @jenniferpatters and thanks for your question. I'm sorry you're having trouble with your emails. I am certainly not an email or web code expert, but one thing popped into my mind you could check...

Sometimes when a web address starts with https://, rather than http:// (notice the letter 's') it forces the web browser on a person's computer to do a security check, because the additional 's' means the website is secure. Certain browser settings read this differently, so I would check this..

when you create a link in your email, are you seeing the http or https? if so, try just starting with the other, or just start with the www.

Maybe someone else may have a better answer with more experience here, but you could just check this and see...

Thank you again for your question and being a part of the Square Community 🙂

Thank you, but that is not the case, I inserted this into the image in my newsletter "http://www.jennypatdesigns.com"

But when I click on it in my personal email it takes me to: "http://click.promote.weebly.com/ls/click?upn=mIeTGP55nleyYcPFZQyLcN-2BSLom9fIWaEaNt-2FxBf8f-2F17wKIr...

Which my security software identifies as "phishing"

And as of today I now have 52 unsubscribes to my newsletter, which is about 50 more than I normally get from a mailing!

This loss of potential customers is concerning!
