Is there a way to turn on email collection using a Square register? It is possible on the apps, but not the register.

at the square point of sale register
ring up sale as usual
tap Add customer
you can select existing customer or
create customer which is now the plus sign
enter customers name
press display to customer so they can fill it out on the customer facing screen (that is great to have the customer fill out - because hunt/peck, my fat fingers, bad eyes and bad karma with technology - saves me embarrassment)
complete transaction
However, if your client is using a new payment type or cash or check you will need to add their name at the beginning of the sale for the client to get an emailed receipt.
also if you do not want to add customer to sale
at the end of completed transaction payment
the screen gives you an option for printed receipt or emailed receipt and the client can then add their email on the customer facing screen at that time
