Anyone else's QR codes for their coupons not working?

I checked with our Operations team on this and they said that the QR codes are designed to be scanned at point-of-sale terminals only. So unfortunately scanning from an iPhone would not be compatible at this time.

@Photog, we strive for efficient communication here at Square, so I am sorry that you never heard back from our other customer service agent. I did just hear back from our Operations team and they said that you are still able to use the coupon using the coupon code itself, but the coupon is not scannable by the buyer any long from mobile phones, unfortunately. So the error message you are receiving is expected.
Thanks for confirming. It really is a shame that Square is removing features while increasing prices.

Just because the function is removed for now, there is a possibility it could be brought back at some point. If I hear anything on this, I will definitely keep you posted in the meantime.
Just so you also know, I was also communicating via email with an "Edward R" from Square Online Customer Service but I haven't heard back from him since July.
This was he last reply on JULY 9th 2025:
"I'm sorry for the delay in my response, I was out of the office. I was wondering if you are still having issues with your coupons?"
"Please reply back to this email so I can assist you accordingly!"

That’s exactly what I was hoping to do. Would be a great marketing campaign.
If it was a feature before can’t it be added back. Seems like a weird thing to do to take a feature away like that.

I asked @Photog as well, but do you also have an QR code example that is not working that I can send over to our Operations team to take a look?
