All prior discussions would not allow comments and seemed to have a resolution but it is not fixed.
We use the Square Register and started loyalty rewards earlier this year. Recently the Baristas have noticed that points were not being assigned to some of the customers enrolled after the sale. The points were assigned to a different customer. I allow my Baristas to set up an account to pay weekly and this past week an account was paid but the name next to the paid by was not the correct name. I asked another Barista to check her info the same issue came up.
We just changed the transaction time out to 15 sec so I do not know if this will fix the issue. Our Baristas do not enter any of the customer information it is all done on the forward facing screen.

I'm sorry this is happening! Did changing the transaction time out to 15 seconds change anything? Let me know. If not, I will get this over to our engineers to have them take a look at what is going on.
