I started a loyalty program in May. 1 point for every $1 spent. Once you hit 500 points - get a $15 off purchase. Then added another tier, etc. My question is - once the customer hits 500 points, do they get $15 off every purchase or is it a one time perk? I'm noticing it's always there and I don't want that. I want them to redeem the next tier perk and not the $15 discount every time. Can that be changed?
There are a number of ways to set up loyalty inside Square, I will share my settings which allows customers to get discounts in $5 reward increments, by redeeming their points:
Thank you for sharing. So once they reach 5000 points, they can redeem the $5 every time they make a purchase? And then once they hit 10,000 points they can redeem $10 each purchase. It is not a one-time use perk.
Customer has 25,000 points, they redeem 5000k they get $5 off and have 20,000 points left
Customer comes in redeems 5k and 10k points for combined $15 off has 5000 points left
customer comes in redeems 5k for $5 off has 0 points left
customer comes in earns points, no points left to redeem pays full price
Now you mentioned tiers, I believe there maybe other settings which could be permanant discounts, I've not yet used those systems yet (if they exist, its been awhile since i looked at my loyalty)
Thank you again. Time for a revamp!
Feel free to tag me if you have another issue in loyalty
