Loyalty Rewards — how much is your discount?

Brick & mortar gift shop here — right now we have 10% off for $250 and 20% off for $400. 1pt = $1. Is this reasonable? What are your rewards/tiers. Thanks!

We do the same 1pt.=$1.00, but when you get 200 points you get 5.00 off. We also do a birthday club, that sends out a 5.00 coupon on their birthday. There is a local department store chain called Bealls and they do the same every 200.00 you spend you get 5.00. That is what we based our points on.

We're still using punchcards as the tactile of it being in their hand and purse/wallet seems to keep it in their mind better.  Plus they can loose them or not care and just throw them out.

anyway, we give a punch for every $20 spent and after 15 punches they get $15 off. Price is before tax, I'm not including the 10% in their reward. so in the end it is a 5%, but in reality it is lower as there are $25 purchase and $73 etc.  I also use them as a bonus, like I'll round up if it its $157 and be like here's an extra since you are so close, don't tell the boss to make them feel special.  and there are plenty of customers that will stop everything if they see they are at $152 and figure our what more they can buy to get to $160.
