I'm starting another thread to complain about removing the option to change text color in marketing

Dozens of complaints and the only response from square was basically "man, that sucks. Keep paying for it though!"

We have brands. Brands have brand colors. We want to be able to use those brand colors when.... Marketing! Why. In the hell. Would you remove... THAT feature?

Fix it. Today. Now. I have emails to send.

Hey there @RBTGames2020.. So, first, I'm a fellow seller and like many of us here we are willing to assist when we can.  I'm telling you this out of the gate because the tone of your post is very off-putting.  We understand frustration here.  We've all had it.  But this is a place to help each other and, when necessary, enlist the help of various Square folks.  Per our TOS we need to keep it civil and respectful if we expect to be helped or even be allowed to stay in the Community.  Nothing is going to get fixed today.  That's just a fact of life you are going to have to deal with. Now...

I'm a little confused.  I send out emails regularly.  When I'm creating those, I'm able to change colors on just about everything --  buttons, the header logo and background and more.  Of course, currently changing text colors is impossible, but I have a work-around I use that involves a few steps and then uploading an image into my email.  Also, from our web dashboards we are able to edit our locations and set up branding items for our websites, things like logos and colors.  Have you done that in your location settings?  If you haven't you can create branding sets and assign those to locations, one or many.

Otherwise, if you have a specific email block that is not allowing you to change colors as you wish it would help for you to be more specific about which one(s) -- with screen shots, if possible.  That would cut down on the 20 questions and misunderstandings and would help us figure out what, if anything, Square needs to do more.

Here is a link to a feature request that was submitted requesting this change.  I upvoted it and added comments, but figured others might want to do so as well.  I'm not a fan of preaching to Square or anyone, but I agree with the basic request so I can support it.  The more people who upvote it, and who add HELPFUL comments and not just general complaints, the better the chance that it will be scheduled to get corrected.

Could you elaborate a little on what the issue is. We send out emails and can apply brand colours when  formatting the email. That functionality is still in place as far as I am aware. We sent an email last night and all looked fine.

Have you tried the usual clear cache and logging back in just in case something is blocking your route to formatting your email.

When adding text, either headers or paragraphs, you cannot select text colors. It’s solely in black. You can change the font and you can change the size (h1/h2/paragraph) but otherwise you can’t alter anything else. Can’t even italicize or underline.

I have just added my support to this feature request too. The more creative control we can can get built in to the system the better.
