How to send a single email to group of customer with same company

I'm looking for a way to create a group of customer records to send out Event Sponsorship requests however I want to only send one email per Company and have it sent to multiple email addresses.

Ie  Company XYZ has 3 contacts ([email protected]; [email protected], [email protected])
The group will have 75-100 different Companies.

I need to send a single email to Company XYZ with the To: email field being [email protected]; [email protected], [email protected]

Great question! While Square Marketing doesn’t natively support sending a single email per company with multiple recipients, there are a few ways you can achieve this:

Option 1: Use an Email Marketing Tool (Best Option)

Most email marketing platforms (like MailChimp, MailerLite, or Constant Contact) allow you to group contacts by company and send one email with multiple recipients in the "To" field. You’d need to:

  • Create a Company Field in your contact list
  • Merge duplicate contacts under a single company
  • Set up an email campaign that sends to each company’s list of emails in one message

Option 2: Manually Organizing & Sending via Gmail/Outlook

If your list isn’t too large, you could:

  • Export your customer contacts from Square
  • Group them manually in Google Sheets or Excel (by company)
  • Copy/paste each company's emails into a single email in Gmail/Outlook

Option 3: Using a CRM with Bulk Email Capabilities

If you’re using a CRM like HubSpot or Zoho, you can tag contacts by company and send bulk emails that way.

Workaround in Square Marketing?

Square doesn’t currently allow this level of email grouping, but you might be able to:

  1. Export your Square customer data
  2. Clean it up in Google Sheets (group by company, combine emails in one field)
  3. Re-upload it to an email marketing tool and send from there

If this is a feature you’d love to see in Square, I’d recommend submitting a feature request here.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you find another workaround 🙂
