I have elected to use the text message option and need to know how to do a group text? How do I pick multiple customers to send a message to via text?

Hey Deborah! 👋 Great question — using text messages to reach your customers is super effective!
Right now in Square Marketing, you can send SMS/text campaigns, but there’s no “group text” feature in the traditional sense — like a phone-based group chat. Instead, you’ll create a text message campaign and send it to a group of selected customers through Square’s dashboard.
Go to Square Dashboard > Marketing
Click Create Campaign and choose the Text Message option.
Select Your Audience
You can choose:
All customers
By segment (like “Customers who haven’t visited in 60 days”), OR
Custom audience (manually select multiple people from your customer list)
Compose Your Message
Keep it short and engaging — SMS has a character limit. Square will show you how many people you’re sending to.
Send or Schedule
You can schedule it to go out later, or send it right away.
✅ Note: You’ll need to be on Square’s Text Message Marketing plan, and customers must have opted in to receive SMS.

Just to add to what @Stacelyn24 has already shared, before your customers can receive text message campaigns, they will need to consent to receiving SMS marketing text messages, which they can do through your point of sale after a transaction.
