How do you give bonus loyalty points for bringing in a reusable bag?

Does Square have a way for us to give bonus Loyalty points for bringing in a reusable bag? 

I made a promotion and put it for an item which is the bag at no cost and assigned it a upc code for easy adding to the transaction. 

 

It is showing the promotion was claimed by the customer but the extra points have not shown up in their account.  So is it a delay in adding the points or does it not work that way?

I think you can do it this way. Go to Dashboard Customers/Loyalty Promotions.  Click Create Promotion, then Item Spotlight, and select the  item you have made for the bag. Click next, then on the next page click Edit Promotion. Look for the tab labeled Promotion Type and select Additional Points, then right below that enter how many points they get for bringing in a reusable bag. Also scroll down to Schedule and highlight every day. Then Click Launch in the upper right hand corner. After that everytime you scan the bag barcode, it should give them the extra points.
