How do customers enroll in the loyalty program?

I just turned on the "Loyalty" feature for my business a few days ago. Will my clients automatically be enrolled, or they have to sign up themselves? If they do have to enroll themselves, how would they go about doing so?

Hi @GeminiGem ! Below you will find an excerpt from this Support Article regarding enrolling customers in your Loyalty program. 

 

Enroll a customer in your loyalty program

  1. Process a sale the same way you normally would. After the sale has been completed and your customer has passed the receipt screen, you'll reach the loyalty screen.

  2. Ask your customer to enter their phone number to enroll or sign in to your loyalty program.

They receive an SMS indicating they've earned their first point, and if enabled, they'll also see a link to Cash App to view their loyalty status with your business. From the Activity tab in Cash App, they'll be able to view accrued points, earned rewards, and activity at your business. If your customer does not have Cash App at the time of the transaction, they will be prompted to download the app to easily view their loyalty program details.

After each transaction, your customer will receive a text message indicating they've been enrolled and, if applicable, earned their first point(s), along with a link to their loyalty program status.

I just started using loyalty myself,  so I'll try and point you in the right direction.

 

Your customers will need to enroll in to your program, or with their permission you can enroll them  You can create and send out an automated email or text message asking them to enroll.

 

You can enroll your customers with permission  and create signage as well for them to sign up in store.

Thanks for your feedback. Oh I didn't know I have the option of enrolling them. That's cool. The automated email/text feature I believe that's a feature I would have to pay for correct?
