Of note: I utilized the 30 day free trial for text marketing but have discontinued and no longer have access to those pages. Customers are still getting the opt-in screen pop up, and I'm hoping I can remove it without subbing to text marketing a second time, and thus potentially having to pony up the monthly fee.

You should be able to remove the opt-in screen by removing the Text Message Marketing add-on from your Point of Sale.
This can be accomplished by visiting More > Settings > Scroll Down to Text Message Marketing and then removing the add-on.

Hi JJ, there is no Text Message Marketing tab or add-on in my POS settings.

You would need to be in the Square Point of Sale application on a mobile device. From there you will want to tap More > Add-Ons and remove the Text Message Marketing by tapping on it and then tap the three dots, and lastly Remove it.

I was able to remove the add-on from my Square POS app but the screen is still coming up for new clients when I'm checking out with Appointments app.
I tried reinstalling the Appointments app but it doesn't help.
Any idea what's going on? Thanks.

If you have removed the add-ons from the apps and unsubscribed altogether, then the next step would be reaching out to our support team so they can look closer into this and escalate your case if needed.

Just in case anyone else needed the solution.
I resubbed to text marketing to regain access to its settings, disabled those settings and canceled the subscription after. Subscription fee was refunded by Square but it was a hassle for a simple task.
