there isn't even a board to post this in..... software updates???????
This latest software updated added an extremely inefficient step to our check out process. How do I toggle this feature off???
for example, Monster Energy drinks, we have 1 item, labeled monster with multiple variations for all the different flavours. I used to be able to scan an item and move on to the next and scan it, just scan one item after another, and it used to automatically add them to the checkout list and total. Now I have to scan and turn back to the screen and hit done, before I can scan the next item, and again hit done on the screen again before I can scan the next item.... thank god it at least highlights which variation I just scanned otherwise I would have thrown the unit in the garbage by now.
seriously who thought this was a smart addition to the checkout process.... you've made an already simple process more inefficient.... same with the split payments.... 7 screens? why??? I don't understand why you insist on making things more difficult, time consuming and frustrating than they need to be?!?!? its painfully obvious that the people in charge of updates don't actually use their own software or test it in a real world bricks and mortar setting.
