How can I edit the automatic marketing campaign triggers?

Square Team, please work on allowing users to edit the triggers. Every business is so different and this should be an option to help us easily create automatic email campaigns for our specific clients.

I understand. Thank you for those additional details, @Bridalbusiness. I went ahead and reached out to our Marketing team to take a look. Unfortunately, they said that we cannot edit the behavior of triggers, but they sent this over to their feedback teams as they can see how this would be a helpful improvement.

They did have a potential workaround idea though. They recommended starting with the existing "Offer a coupon on first visit" automation, but then removing the coupon widget and adding in some text and a link to the Facebook page.

If that workaround doesn't work for now, I am not sure if you are familiar with Ideate, but is a great place to add new ideas or improvements to Square products. You are welcome to add this idea as a Feature Request on there, if you would like to.

I hope this helps a bit! Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi @Bridalbusiness, first off, welcome to the Square Community!

Secondly, could you please give a bit more information on what you mean by "triggers?" Are you looking for timing customization for email marketing?

Please let me know and I can take a look.

When you are setting up an automation, it has a predetermined trigger (listed as trigger). The Facebook Review Automation is automatically set to 4 customer visits before an automatic email is sent, requesting a review. I’d love for a customer to visit 4 times…but that’s not common. It would be nice for Square Marketing to offer a way to alter/adjust the trigger.

Thank you!

Appreciate the workaround! Would be awesome if it could be automated, so I’ll check Ideate!

Grateful for your time
