Hide physical address in footer of outgoing email campaign

We are an online-only business, with local delivery, and tired of customers showing up at our home because they see our physical address at the bottom of our marketing email messages. According to Square support, there doesn't appear to be a way to hide your physical address (which is required for some functionality in the product . . . already had our hands slapped for removing it) in the footer on outgoing email campaigns. It seems like a very basic request and wondered if anyone has come up with a work-around to get around the products limitations?

Hey @rkmorrill - Thanks for sharing this feedback. I understand how important it is to have control over the information displayed in your email campaigns, especially in cases like yours. At this time, there isn’t a built-in way to hide the physical address, but I encourage you to submit this as a feature request on our Ideate Board. This helps our team track interest and consider it for future updates. I am tagging some super sellers who can share their input and hopefully a workaround (@JUYBoutique20 @keicollective @BofBArtStudio @CactusQuilter ). Let me know if there's anything else we can do to help.

@rkmorrill Did you try to label your business as mobile.  I don't remember an address being on my emails or anything when I was mobile.

This is likely required due to email privacy laws, not a Square policy. In many countries any marketing or sales emails or emails to subscribers must have a physical address from where it is coming from. That way people can request data removal or have an address for reporting spam, etc.. This can be a P.O. Box so if your business has a P.O. box in addition to your physical address, I would change it to the P.O. Box.

We just set up a location as mobile, and tested it with a new marking campaign, and it looks like it does hide the physical address on outgoing email messages. Thank you so much for your help with this. One suggestion I have, after looking for a solution for this for a very long time, is that I would encourage Square to update their documentation to include this tip. Thanks again!!!
