Customers Earning Points

We just started our loyalty program.  We have had 3 people sign up so far. When going to the loyalty section in the overview screen it doesn't show any new signups.  example...Customer, Loyalty,  (then in the overview section it doesn't show any new signups) The only place we can see is through the activity part.  example...customer, loyalty, activity.  Why are we not seeing the new signups?  Also, I create an invoice for a loyalty customer, she paid it with cash, but it didn't apply her points, I had to manually go in and add them.  We didn't have a sku number on the item yet, could that have been the issue?  Could someone tell us what we are doing wrong please.  Thanks.

@2familynotions  Hi, and welcome to Loyalty.  Once we get your concerns addressed, I think you will love the results.  I have this year.

 

The overview screen doesn’t show any more than a summary of new sign-ups for the selected period.  Mine, for example, shows 48 new sign-ups for the month of August.  It’s down in the Customers section after the Sales graph showing loyalty vs. non-loyalty breakdown.

 

Activity is the only way to see the details of the new enrollments.  When you to to activity, click on the box that says “all activity” and only select Account Updates.  You’ll see enrollments, as well as account-level activity for the period.  That seems to be the way it was designed, and it makes sense once you work with it for a while.  The activity section is the brains of your operation at the detail level.  Once you’ve done this for a while, you will really not worry about that detail level too much.  But I know at the beginning you do.  I did.

 

@HC_Charlie addressed the invoice issue very well, and added some other insights about enrollments I won’t repeat!

Hello @2familynotions thanks for your post. I'm sorry you're having trouble with your Loyalty program. The overview section in the Loyalty area may not show activity right away; it may take a few days or week as it accrues data in order to show statistics during a longer time period. You are correct that the activity part is a good place to see customers who recently signed up. You can also see all of your enrolled Loyalty program but going to your customers > directory, and change the drop down to show "Loyalty Enrollees" .

As far as invoices, Square does not currently offer Loyalty reward earnings on invoice payments. You are correct in that you'll have to adjust those points manually. Not having a SKU number shouldn't affect earning points. It depends on how you have your program setup to earn points, but it would either be by visit, total dollar spending, or spending in certain categories or items.
