Hi, Everyone.
I am trying to figure out if it is intentional for some reason or if there is something I am not doing correctly.
On our Square Stand with iPad Square POS I can view transactions, pull up a transaction, and click customer record to view customer details. No problem.
On a MacBook or PC, if I am logged into Square Dashboard desktop computer and view transactions, click on any transaction, the side popup comes out with the transaction details and I can click on the customer and go to that customer record. No problem.
On an Adroid with Chrome logged into Square Dashboard and view transactions, click on any transaction, the popup comes up with the transaction details and the customer link is NOT clickable. I have to then copy the customer name by holding it down and selecting customer name and then go to menu->Customer Directory->Directory and click on the search box and paste.
In the SquarePOS app installed on my Android, I open it up and go to transactions and then click a transaction and the customer name on the transaction looks like it should be clickable, but it is NOT clickable.
Below are screenshots of the same transaction viewed three different ways and only the computer Chrome dashboard experience allows the customer to be clickable to jump to customer record. Is this what is expected behavior? Is there something I need to set differently? If not, Is there plans to get this consistent across at least Chrome in different devices, and perhaps the Square app as well?

Our team has confirmed that customer transaction details should indeed be searchable on both Android and iOS devices. I’ve been actively following up for updates on when this will be resolved, but I haven’t received any new information yet. For now, I’ll close this thread, but I’ll reach back out here as soon as I hear more. Thank you for bringing this to our attention so we can work towards getting it resolved!

Thank you for flagging this! I agree the customer details should be the same across iOS and Android. I have escalated this to the engineers to investigate further and will keep you updated once i hear back!
Looking forward to this all behaving the same way.
It is frustrating when I am pulling up a transaction on different devices and then I realized that I can't jump to the customer and then I have to go to an alternate device to actually pull up the transaction and jump to the customer.

Thank you. And just to make sure, I can search for customer details so they are searchable from the customers list. What I'm looking for is for that customer name on the transaction to be clickable to jump me over to the customer or pop up the customer and it does it on some devices and not others. I just want to make sure that was clear. I'm sure it was what you meant. 🦋
