Customer Referral Program (NOT to sign up new Square users!)

I'm perplexed by Square -- in searching for this topic, I ONLY found a program where Square users refer a potential new Square-using client. Back from 2017. . . Nothing for us to use with our loyal customers.

Okay Square. You obviously know that referrals grow your biz or you wouldn't offer this program. So why don't you have one where we can reward our customers for referring new customers (I'd like to give them 50% off their next purchase).

btw, that post from 2017 had over 3,000 queries. From 5 years ago. This is something that your clients want! What are you going to do about it?

Yeah im a little disappointed myself. They are also trying to give out alternative options within the LOYALTY PROGRAM which I'm sorry to tell them is NOT the same thing as a  REFERRAL PROGRAM.... lol and as you said perfectly, they use a referral program themselves to get more Square users, yet leave us in the dark on how to accomplish this ourselves for OUR customers. So if I've missed something between 2017 when this was first brought up till now in 2024, please direct me to the exact instructions on how to set up the CUSTOMER REFERRAL PROGRAM FOR OUR CUSTOMERS, not to bring more users to Square. In the mean time, i'll try to make an up to date request for this feature (yet again).
