Coupons In Marketing

Screen Shot.pngStarting to use coupons in the "Marketing" section of Square vs online now. When I try to do 10% off $50+, there seems to be no options anymore to set a minimum (which I could do online). Additionally, there seems to be no way to edit a coupon once created? I can click and open the coupon and see "conditions" which seems to have what I need to set minimum but I cannot access anything to establish these conditions or edit. What am I doing wrong here?

Can I just continue to use discounts and check the box to apply to Square Online Sites within this instead and have that work on both platforms? Appreciate the help in advance!

Hi there!

It sounds like you’re navigating some challenges with the coupon setup in Square. I understand how important it is to have flexible options for your marketing strategies.

Regarding your concerns:

  1. Minimum Purchase Conditions:

    • Currently, the options for setting minimum purchase conditions for coupons may not be as intuitive in the Marketing section compared to the online platform. If you’re unable to access the conditions properly, it could be a temporary glitch. I recommend checking if there are any updates available or trying from a different browser.
  2. Editing Coupons:

    • It’s true that editing existing coupons can be limited in some areas of the platform. If you need to make changes, you might have to create a new coupon instead. This can be cumbersome, but it’s a common workaround.
  3. Using Discounts for Square Online:

    • Yes, you can continue using discounts and check the box to apply them to Square Online. This approach can help maintain consistency across both platforms, especially if the coupon features are causing issues.

Additionally, I wanted to let you know that Square has recently rolled out some new features that may improve your experience with coupons and discounts. Keep an eye on any updates in the Marketing section, as these changes might address some of the limitations you’re facing.

If you continue to have trouble or have specific feedback, reaching out to Square support can also be helpful, as they may provide additional insights or solutions.

I hope this helps, and if you have any more questions, feel free to ask!
