Pride Month, typically observed in June, is dedicated to the celebration and commemoration of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual, and other sexual identities. Following the Stonewall riots, a series of gay liberation protests in 1969, the community and allies now come together globally each year to lift each other up, support one another, celebrate the progress we’ve made, as well as continue to advocate for the progress we still need to make.  

Learn about Dina Rosenburg who runs Amityville Apothecary in Long Island, New York. Opened in 2018, Amityville Apothecary provides "remedies for mind, body and soul." Dina shares how their retail business has grown over the past 4 years and what makes this business unique.   

Bonnie Plottner saw a gap in the market for an artisanal ice cream store in her town, and opened her business in 2022. Learn about how Bonnie has grown the business, how she collaborates with other local food businesses, and how she supports her local community. 

Small Business Month continues in the Seller Community! We're featuring just some of the great sellers, and Super Sellers, who make this Community a very special corner of the internet.   In this Spotlight we meet Emily and Andrea who run Lovewell Tea & Coffee in Ventura, California. They share some of the challenges of running a business and how they connect to their local community.

Abbey Woodcock, took the time to tell us about Callee1945, a specialty cheese shop in Oneida, New York. Abbey was inspired to start her business by her late grandfather who started Callee Farm in 1945. 

Today we are meeting Katie of Battlefield Lavender. Katie and her husband manage a beautiful agri-destination lavender farm in Centralia, Missouri.

As part of the Seller Community's Small Business Month, I'm ecstatic to share the story behind the new Square Readers Book Club and hopefully provide some inspiration and motivation for sellers to get involved!
