checkout: shipping weight based cost no showing.

Can you do a dummy run purchase to check if the checkout is working before publishing site, and is there this option in the editor somewhere to do this.

I have done a purchase on my site when published but no shipping cost are showing unless you need fill the address and card requirements and then pay before the shipping cost shows on the order. I think this checkout test was called a sandbox if this term still exists.

I have weight based calculated shipping all set up and filled out.

You certainly need to fill in address details first as it needs this to calculate the shipping rate.

Thanks for your reply, so I take it there is no checkout payment order test in the editor system before publishing site. This would be a good idea feature to have when setting up checkout, shipping payment just to make sure the checkout is set up and works, thanks again for your help.

I just did a low value order on my live site as a test. You can always cancel that order later.

The customer could be anywhere in the world which is why it needs the address as well as weight to calculate shipping
