Where do you work from?

Many of us do not have dedicated offices, so where do you work from?

I have a little office set up in my apartment.

Sometime I work from the pool.

Other times I get coffee (ceramic mug only) and work from the coffee shop!

With my laptop- I can be anywhere and I often am... but we have two office spaces in our retail shop as well- although because people "know" me from social media I often am working from the counter.

We have an office and encourage all our staff to work from the office. We kind of believe that interaction in the office is much better for our employees wellbeing, although the singing and and lack of tuneful whistling can push you to the limit sometimes. 🙂

We don't have room for an office at the cafe, I do have an office at home but it's currently the catchall room 😬

I'll work at a table at the cafe. If I'm at home I'll work from the couch, my bed (I know, I know) or sometimes the dining room table.

I try to only work from my store (that's my goal), but I find myself sometimes working from my bed, on the couch in my living room, on my deck, on my porch, etc.  I've got to do better 🤣.

When we are working fairs, this is my little space 2 portable monitors connected to my MacBook pro. It changes weekly, when I'm home the last photo is where I work from.

We are a brick and mortar store since 1908 in the same location. However, we do offsite job installation.

While I fully believe that working from home (in our jammies) is the best benie of being self-employed, I also know that it can be equally detrimental.  We get lazy, caught up in life stuff, procrastinate and we mess up our posture because we're not sitting in a good chair.  While I would HATE having an office that I must drive to daily, I must work hard to be "at work" when it's work hours and focus on work so that I don't have to give up that benefit.  For me, it's all about discipline.  Making myself get things done so that I can do other things.  I am a mobile office quite often because I take the phone with me wherever I go and set appointments wherever I'm at, but if I'm keeping up on my tasks, then I have free time for myself at home, when I'm not working.  Best of both worlds!
