One tiny tweak can make checkout feel way easier. Usually it’s one small friction point removed.
What we see across TicketsCandy events:
- Shortening checkout copy boosts completion by about 11%.
- Showing total price upfront (fees included) reduces drop-off by ~14%.
- Removing just one optional step lifts conversions around 7–9%.
The changes that come up most:
- Fewer required fields.
- No surprises at the final screen.
So most buyers already decided to go, and checkout just decides if they actually finish )
Mine is more brick and mortar, but adding square terminals for checkout, really improved the flow. The cashier can send it to the terminal and then go grab sauces etc. No spinny tablets or anything.
On point, that's checkout friction in real life - keep the line moving while you handle the next thing )
