I have been with Square for almost 9 years. The things that keep me as a customer:

-easy to contact support. 
-account setup was the easiest and least expensive. 
-continued innovation

Very versatile at the time versus other options on the market. You can take payment in person in the field, at market/pop-up, and send invoices. They eventually added an API for custom e-commerce solutions.
