What has moved the needle most for your business in 2026?

It's June already... what's one thing you've done this year that's actually moved the needle in your business?

We're halfway through the year and I'm curious...

What's one change, strategy, promotion, product, service, software, or habit that has genuinely helped your business grow in 2026?

Bonus points if it's something simple that another seller could implement.

I'd love to hear what's working for everyone!

We send a Square marketing newsletter every Tuesday morning without fail.

It takes about 3 hours to put it together every week, however, our locations are closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays, yet we generate an additional $1500 to $3000 on average on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and those sales are tied directly to the newsletter that goes out every Tuesday morning.

@BofBArtStudio wow those numbers are stellar, particularly for days you're technically closed! Is there something specific you do as a CTA in your newsletter to get people to convert and make a purchase?

It starts with a compelling subject line, leads into a hero section at the top to encourage opens and clicks and scrolls and then leads into what is hot (ie. "Limited spots remaining"), And then what's new, usually a shout out to our incredible team or a fantastic guest experience.

Plus we use buttons as opposed to links, we make sure that it's formatted nicely for mobile and desktop.

And captivating images.

We include a recent blog and a button to that to read more.

Plus the section at the bottom for a recent review.

Consistency is the key. It goes out every Tuesday and has for many years. Our customers expect it.

Well damn!!!  That's great news.  We send out newsletters but they are sporadic so we need to focus on one day out the week  as well.  Also, not always selling something....I think this should help us in converting clicks into clients coming in to get their nails done.  Thank you so much for sharing ๐Ÿ™‚

Yes for sure. I found that Tuesday morning around 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. is the sweet spot for getting the most opens and clicks and responses (and orders). โ˜บ๏ธ

I usually try to set it up on Monday night each week and then I can just schedule it to go out at 8:00 a.m. . But sometimes that doesn't work out and I have to get up early Tuesday morning around 5:30 and start working on it so I can get it out in time. But doing it every week consistently is the key.

Took your advice and sat down for about three days and came up with newsletters that will go out weekly on Tuesdays for the rest of the year...fingers crossed everyone loves them and they bring in some consistent business ๐Ÿ™‚

Awesome!  I have always wondered if newsletters where a great way to stay connected to customers and it sounds like you have found a way that is definitely worth the effort!

WOW that is amazing! Would you mind sharing one of your emails? I would love to see how you curate yours. This is an area I really struggle with and I fear it shows

We're working on getting more Google reviews that are actually mentioning the services they are getting to help out our rankings!!

This year also I've been much more pragmatic and diligent and intentional about tracking budget and expenses and finding areas of bloat that I can cut.

The objective is always to increase that bottom line. It's not always how much you make, but rather how much you keep.

I am primarily a computer shop. Have been for 5 years. I am currently located in an area where those services aren't provided by anyone else.

Very late last summer, I started to sell ebikes. I kept seeing people riding ebikes and I told myself "let me see what it takes to be a dealer". Not much. This year my ebike sales/services are eclipsing my computer sales/services. My showroom is filling up faster than I know what to do with.

I'm also pushing ACIMA and Progressive pretty hard to get people signed up for lease to own. Which Square would bring back Square payments, or allow customers who don't currently have afterpay to sign up via kiosk.
