Hey sellers!
There are so many business books out there, but as a business owner it's hard to find good ones that would be relevant to your needs.
So today we're asking:
We'd love to hear what books have inspired you and given solid strategies to help you run your businesses.
It could be about any aspect of your business: starting up, management, marketing, leadership, hiring & training, product creation, or anything else!
Here are some that have been recommended to me (that I haven't read yet):
Looking forward to seeing what you've found helpful!

Hey Square Readers!
Thank you all for sharing your favorite business books.
I'm so excited to announce that weโre bringing a brand new group to the Square Seller Community, the Square Readers Book Club, and weโd love to have you join.
You can read all about it on our Introduction post, but here's the most important info:
Weโll pick one book every two months to read and chat about together in this Community Group full of sellers like you. Weโll share some extra resources and content from the author and cap it off with a live Google Meet video chat. And of course, weโll post a full summary with key insights and takeaways from each book.
Weโre voting on all of the books we read, so head over to help pick our first one!
The first book will be announced and weโll start things off on April 3rd.
Join the Square Readers Book Club Group
We canโt wait to read with you!

Here are a couple good ones:
Awesome! Thanks so much for sharing, @Desert_Deli !
What elements of these books most resonated with you?
Did you use any of the tips from the book in your business?
Profit First by Mike Michalowicz is my favorite. It helped me put a system together that helps me run my business smoothly and debt free. I've been doing it for almost two years now.
Oooh, thanks so much for sharing, @JUYBoutique20 ! That's so fantastic that it's helped you put together a long-lasting system and that you've been debt free! So cool!
Definitely adding to my list!
The e-myth has been on my to read list for a bit.
@JUYBoutique20 - it's been on mine too! Hopefully soon I'll get to it, and maybe we can share some thoughts?
Business books are essential for any business owner, and most entrepreneurs have read and learned a lot from them. Here are a few of our favorite business books to inspire you to grow your business.
Hey @jemes -- which ones helped you?
The Nordstrom Way it is great for creating a company culture.
Awesome, thanks for sharing @Doran !
Are there any practical tips you can remember off-hand that helped you?
Yes!
Creating Trust.
Between you and the employees.
You and the customer.
The customer and employee.
Happy employees are going to make happy customers. Instead of a huge employee handbook empower your team to make decisions and build a report with customers. Allow them the ability and freedom to do what is best for the customer. By building a happy company culture you will attract the right people for your team. Who will then go an sell the heck out of your brand and create lifelong customers.
Thank you so much, @Doran -- I absolutely love all of that. Empowering and creating trust are huge, and it's a great way to build some deep emotional connections all around, and take a bunch off of the owner's plate.
Thanks again!
Creating trust is essential.
Crushing It & Twelve and a Half by Gary Vaynerchuk
Thanks for sharing these, @DinaLRosenberg !
What about them resonated with you? What did they help you accomplish?
IMO there is no one better at having the pulse of what's happening digitally and on social than Gary (although he did over hype NFts)...
12 1/2 speaks to the best traits of effective leaders. Mostly it's about candor- how to manage- which is really one of the pain points if you have a team. Giving productive feedback while still motivating the team can be tough.. he does a great job of explaining it.
Thanks so much for these insights, @DinaLRosenberg !
Adding them to my list for sure!
Traction by Gino Wickman Getting a grip on your business.
Gonna put that one on my list.
Thanks for sharing, @OurCupCakery !
How did this book help you do that?
