Recently the UK government urged Brits to stockpile emergency supplies in case of national crisis (tinned food, batteries and bottled water...chocolate??).
What 3 essential items would you grab to keep your business operating?
Thank you Sam_400ยบ. This is an Oil-tanned Leather. It feels really nice.
Well, considering my biz is coffee, it's safe to say that'd be on my list.
After that, water (to make the coffee, duhhh) and a pocketful of cash. Sorry Square, but offline mode won't carry me through a national outage.
Personally, I'd have a stack of books, that coffee, and the attitude where I can be entertained when everyone around me is losing their schizz.
Love this! What books would you bring? Or what have you been reading lately?
@maxpete In that scenario, I think Iโd be happy with whatever book I could get my hands on.
As for now, Iโm currently reading Unreasonable Hospitality by Will Guidara (inspired by the Forks episode of The Bear), Profit First (late to the ballgame on this one, sorry @PessoAlumni), and Robert Irvineโs Overcoming Impossible.
My constant return-to book is I Know This Much is True by Wally Lamb. The way itโs written just grabs me and itโs hard to put down. Itโs a little touchy of a subject matter, but wow what a story.
Thanks for the Square Readers Book Club shoutout, @ryanwanner! Late is perfectly fine -- everything stays up forever, and the goal is to inspire and help the journey, even if folks don't read along at the same time!
I'm putting The Bear book into our next voting round, and super excited to hopefully get to read it! Thanks for the Robert Irvine suggestion too -- I used to watch his show back in the day, and I'll take a look-
