We have about 21 folks on board that make the clean and paint team. We treat all of our subs as an important key component to the team.

Hi Square Community,

I'm Eric O'Brien, and I'm excited to join this community of business owners and entrepreneurs.

My Story:
I originally created Customerflows.io out of necessity for my HVAC business, Texas Temp Masters.
I was frustrated with the existing customer engagement tools on the market - they either didn't
have the features I needed or were prohibitively expensive for a small business. So I built
exactly what I wanted, and it worked so well that I turned it into a product for other
businesses facing the same challenges.

About Customerflows.io:
Customerflows.io (https://customerflows.io) is a customer engagement automation platform that
helps businesses automate their review collection, customer communication, and feedback
management.

How We Use Square:
Here's where it gets interesting - we integrate directly with Square to make setup seamless for
business owners. When you connect your Square account to Customerflows, we automatically set up
your SMS and email systems, and create smart landing pages that filter feedback intelligently.
Good reviews get directed to Google, Yelp, or Facebook where they help
your business grow. Less-than-stellar reviews are captured via email so you can address issues
privately before they go public.

For our own billing, we also use Square's payment infrastructure to handle subscriptions with
flexible monthly and annual pricing.

What We Do:
- Automated review requests for Google, Yelp, Facebook, and other platforms
- SMS and email campaigns for customer engagement
- Smart review filtering - good reviews go public, critical feedback stays private
- Quick setup through Square integration - no technical expertise needed
- White-label options for agencies and larger businesses
- Analytics to track customer sentiment and conversion rates

Who We Serve:
Small to medium businesses across industries - restaurants, automotive services, salons,
healthcare providers, retail shops, and more. Basically, any business that wants to grow their
online reputation and keep customers engaged without spending hours on manual outreach.

Looking Forward To:

Connecting with other Square users, learning from this community, and sharing insights on
customer engagement strategies. As someone who built this from a business owner's perspective,
I'm always interested in hearing what challenges other businesses are facing.

Feel free to reach out if you have questions about automating customer communication or
leveraging Square data to improve customer relationships.

Best,
Eric O'Brien

Welcome to the community.  We're an HVAC company with no employees, been in the industry 26 years.  I'm also a member of Women in HVAC-R.  You can find the organization online.  If you happen to have a female in your company, like your wife, administrative assistant, etc., they can become members of WHVACR.  We just got back from annual conference - this year was in Vegas.  Our conference is quite impressive and this year we had the largest vendor show ever.  We have all kinds of companies like yours or similar, that lend to our field and support our organization.  I would highly recommend checking it out for next year.  Conference will be in Indianapolis, IN, Sept. 27-29th.

I've been self-employed for 38 years.  I've been to dozens of large conferences throughout my adult life.  This year's WHVACR was the best I've ever been to.  We do welcome male members and sponsors, but our organization is designed for women.  However, all companies in the industry are welcome to attend the vendor show during conference.  I have no idea what the cost is, but I'm sure it would be well worth it!

Hello!

My name is Jose' with Nix Custom Creations (formerly Laser Co 7).  I started my business during covid.  It made a little bit of money but not enough to pay all the bills, so I had to go back to work for a company.  I struggle with the promotional and sales side of the business.  Everything I sell I get compliments on and I have some loyal customers, but I just haven't been able to get this thing off the ground.  I have a little down time now, due to an injury, and I would love to see this business thrive.  I always saw this as a way to help my kids learn about entrepreneurship and a way to help others earn an income.

My hobbies are volunteer ministry work, lifting weights, martial arts, fishing, movies and I've been a professional DJ for 26 years, so I love all types of music.

My business focuses on custom made and engraved products.  I love the design aspect of the work and really put my all into the things I make.

I'm located in West Central Florida in the northern part of Tampa Bay.

I hope to learn from this community and build something my wife and kids can be proud of!

Love that you included your hobbies! Sometimes we focus on the business so much we forget that we are humans outside of it.

Welcome!  I was in your next of the woods in February!  We cruise out of Miami every February...

To speak to your comment, welcome to the community and I think you'll find a lot of help here!  We wish you all the success and I love that you're doing ministry work!

I would highly recommend (if you haven't already) that you get an InstaGram and FB account for your business, in addition to your free Google listing.  I cannot personally speak to how IG works because I don't use it, but I do know that it would lend the best to posting photos of your work, to help increase your sales.  In your line of work, socials are going to be your best friend.  You can do so much free advertising and it will be very beneficial, but it will also be time consuming.... so, make a plan.  Use a calendar.  Plan out your posts, whether or not you're doing FB or IG, what your posting and when.  They have a scheduler in the business page and you can go up to 10 days in advance.  You can line out your photos and the wording and tell it what day and time to post.  Don't ever just post words though, every post, even on FB, must have a pic or the algorithm will not pick it up.  Make sure that you join all of the local classifieds groups in your area and post/share as you're allowed within the group.

Your business will benefit from a lot of time spent on your marketing plan, in addition to creating product.  Just remember though, marketing is not advertising.  It's making a plan to advertise.  You will find a lot of resources here in the community, many articles, posts and questions asked by other people, that will help give you insight.  You can always ask questions too.  You can search anything in the search bar and see what comes up.

Best of luck with all you do!

Thanks again for your advice. I do have both Instagram and FB which I haven’t been consistent on. I will definitely consider the scheduler to setup post.

Hi Jose,

Long post

Praying that you feel better soon. 🙏🏼

I worked in retail and the one thing that they do is project their ads/promotions months out.

Grab a calendar. Mark off the holidays. Create a list of promotions that you can do for each holiday. Calculate the time that it will take to create each design and realistically how many you can do on a given day and calculate shipping and provide a cut off. You don't want to take on more and you are able to get out by the due date.

Back that out 3 months and drop your offer. Use email, text messages, graphics to promote your promotion. Utilize social media.

For example Christmas is Dec 25th. Sept first you should be rolling out you Christmas promotion teaser along with your Halloween and Thanksgiving offers. Letting them know to be on the look out. In October 1st you should be pushing Christmas. An email a day. Think of McDonald's and how they run commercials 🤔

You got this. Just need to change the approach and the strategy.

God's favor with this upcoming season. It's not too late!

Hi my name is Taffney I go by the username Mstaffney. I setup a square site a little under 2 weeks. I have an online store called Scriptural Expressions T-Shirt Designs LLC. I’m getting plenty of views, how long was it before anyone here began to convert those views to orders? Also, what’s a strategy that worked for you. Thanks

Welcome! We have a brick and mortar coffee shop (2 of them) so we can't speak much on that. We do really encourage the use of social media to boost your sales.

Welcome to the community!  I don't have an online store, but what I would say is that everyone of us in the community are different, our businesses are different and our selling technique is different.  There's really no way to judge or gauge when you should be receiving sales, I wish there was!  What works for one, may not work for another.  We also have to consider our audience and demographics, those play a huge role in how your sales go.

I know it's only been a couple of weeks and I'm sure you have a lot of questions, so if there's something more specific that we can help you with, don't hesitate to reach out.  We have a ton of articles and threads for reference, you can search anything in the search bar to find topics that fit your questions.  Hope this helps!

Best of luck with your new business!
