Hi, I belong to an art group, and we have exhibitions of members work 2 or 3 times a year. The works entered are always different, and by different artists. Currently, we have a paper sales and inventory system, which needs re-doing for each exhibition. We hire an EFTPOS machine from the bank for card payments.
My question is - is it possible for the group to buy a Square Reader (and a phone to pair it to), and simply use these in place of hiring the EFTPOS? As the inventory changes, and many members are not very technical - could we stick with the current paper system, and just use the Square for taking card payments instead?

Yep, you can definitely do this, just stick to using the pin pad to enter custom amounts.
You can also customise your checkout screen by toggling and reordering what payment types are available at checkout.
