Transactions not going through

Hi,
I keep getting requests for verification which start with a question and three options, none of which apply (we set out to use ONLY the QR code method of payment.

However, at an event last night, several payments, which clients thought had gone through, were lost - a severe dent on our revenue.

Consequently, we think we should have a card reader. Not now sure how to upgrade to that having declined it initially.

Visit the store on https://squareup.com and order the reader you see most appropriate for your business, hook it up and start selling at no extra cost* once you own the reader 

 

*fees still apply for card transactions at a standard Square POS rate

Solution

Was the connection strong in the location? Could be that the connection was too weak to process it.

 

Always check https://uk.issquareup.com in the event of an error to see if everything is working on squares end, this eliminates the idea that you or the customer is doing something wrong, also after a card is declined, it’s best to ask for proof of ownership of the card and to see whether the card is valid, this eliminates potential fraud.
