To verify my account

Hi! I have a question. I just made my account yesterday and try to verify my personal information. But Square can’t verify my account. I’m using full legal name, phone number, new SIN number, address,,,and business name. But my business is not registered yet. Is it because my business isn’t registered? Or is there any other problems???  Thank you.

Thank you for reaching out to The Seller Community. I am sorry to hear you have not been able to activate your account yet, I know sometimes this can be frustrating. When you sign up for Square we do have to verify you as an individual, so having your business registered is not required. While this information isn’t required, we find that those who provide a SIN during signup have significantly higher rates of approval. You can attempt to apply again, below are some additional tips to keep in mind:

 

1. Has your name changed in the past 6 months?: Try entering your legal name before it changed.


2. Did you enter a business name or address in the personal info fields?: Make sure to provide us with your legal name and home address.
Have you changed your home address in the past 6 months?: Try entering your home address prior to moving.

 

Note: Do not include accent marks, symbols or special characters, as this may cause ID Verification to fail.

Hi thank you for your reply.

I tried it again, but it didn't work...

I have never change my name so my name should be correct. Home adresse, I'm living same place for 2years.

Sin number also I just got it couple of weeks ago. Should I put (- hyphen) between numbers of SIN??

Please, seriously I need help. I can not go forward without your help.
