Hello Community Members,
Is there some kind of magic or secret sauce to dealing with Square support via chat?
Every time I try, it turns into a painful experience. I’m already logged into the dashboard and authenticated, yet I’m still asked to re-verify my name, email, and other details. I understand security and process—but the real issue is that agents keep changing mid-conversation, and I have to repeat everything from scratch each time.
Often, the agent simply says they’re transferring me and then disappears—no acknowledgment, no summary, nothing. In one instance, during a transfer, the chat language even switched to Spanish, forcing me to start an entirely new chat again.
I gave up on calling Square months ago, but today I had a customer issue that required a call—and within minutes, I was already pulling my hair out.
Maybe I’m missing something or doing something wrong, so I’m hoping others here can shed some light on this or share what’s worked for them.
There’s no case ID, no tracking, no continuity, which makes the whole process even more frustrating.
At this point, I’m honestly at my limit trying to work with Square support.
UGH NOOOO! Just switched to square a few days ago and googled if square conversations are logged somewhere, because this keeps happening. Only 3 days in and already spent 6+ hours on chat support and it's AWFUL!
Sorry about your experience @verybestcookie , It is frustrating, I have given up on it, I rely on self help and community forums mostly, What is the issue you're having? Hopefully I can assist
We only get one little chime when an online orders come in. Played with all the settings, did everything Claude suggested and there has been no change.
Not sure exactly what you're trying to do but I understand you want a louder notification when you receive an order,
Try looking at may be integrating like a Google or Alexa speaker with Zapier, that way it can make a announcement, if can also be beneficial especially if you have a backroom or back office and need to know when you receive an order.
It is pretty simple
It has the option to chime until the order is acknowledged, but it’s only chiming once. That’s a great idea, we have an Alexa I’m going to try that!
