It looks as though MINTT phones are not currently tested as compatible with Square unfortunately. What error message are you seeing when you try and connect the reader?
Sometimes if they meet certain operating conditions unsupported phones might work, but it's on a case by case basis. Many unsupported Android devices won't actually meet the operating conditions we need to securely process payments, which is generally why they won't work.
