Item Variation limitation issue

Hi, I am having a problem with adding products into square , due to limitations.

I am trying to add Balloons to my system.

The method is :-

• Categoty balloons
• Then "large number balloons" as items
• Variations are :-
• Ages - 0 -> 9
• Colours (10 colours)
• 5 different barcode for each colour type.

  as you can see - 500 but system only allows 250

I could have "large Number x Balloons" as Items (where x = 0 > 9)

question is How many itrems can we have in a category?

Despite there being a limit on the number of variations you can have per item, there is no limit to the number of items that can be assigned to each category.

Skyler_ do you know if there will ever be an increase to the number of variations ? 250 seems to be a strange number . 256 I can understand .

Thanks for your reply @Gossip14. There isn't a plan to increase the number of variations on our system as of now. If I do hear of any changes to the number of variations we can have, I'll be sure to update this thread.
