So, I would like to know, are there still parts of the US where people wear tie dye regularly, or is it considered a dated relic from the 60's hippie sub-culture?
We sell children's clothing and tie- dye is still popular, also retro style clothing is a big hit, like the big flower design. We work from the East Coast to the MidWest.
@rtfulk it's cool to see tie dye is represented in the midwest and east coast too. Just took a little scroll through your website and am loving the bell bottom pants you do! So adorable and so vintage-inspired. Bookmarked!

@kristen Thank you. We can thank Laney Wilson for bringing the bell bottoms back. The younger parents are looking for more vintage-style clothing for their kids, who would've thought sequin jeans and jackets would be so popular.
I love bell bottoms. Those comprise a large portion of my wardrobe. I also make tie-dye t shirts. Vintage clothing is sometimes harder to find for the little ones in my area unless I make my own.
Thanks for asking and posting this, @christina10 !
I definitely don't see it too much out in the world on a regular basis, aside from more purposefully retro or themed clothing -- but personally, I love the look of it and would love to see more all of the time. Bring back all the styles!
Fun question, @christina10! This flower child still loves tie dye! ✌🏼🌼 I will say that I am in the very casual southwest of the US though, if that makes a difference.
We do apparel decorating and I can tell you just the last two weeks alone, I have sent over 50 tie dyed items out the door. I also have an order pending for a teacher who wants her whole class to get a tie dyed shirt when they "graduate" from her class.
Do you get more sales from the old school 60's type designs or the newer designs?
I'm somewhat of a fan depending on the colors but my customers love it. I brought in a dress of three different tie dye styles, and they sold out very quickly.
My wife is a nut for tie dye. But she prefers the old school style of tie dye vs the new styles that people are doing. She’s gone so far as to have me custom order her tie dye stuff. She’s also got my 3 granddaughters into tie dye
