I am growing very frustrated with this issue considering I have bought the square machine already but I am not able to finish the last step to create my account. I am a resident from Quebec, Canada, and at the moment the only ID I have is my health insurance card, which also counts as our Id here in Quebec. I do not own a drivers license cause I live in a big city and my passport has been expired for a long time since it was messy to renew after covid.
I have used all my tries trying to take pictures of my physical id in perfect day light. Not only is it time consuming because the application is very glitchy (it kept messing up the cropping in super weird ways), but it keeps refusing my ID. I even make sure to select ''personal ID' at the beginning of the process.
I called a rep and they said to keep trying and to call them when I run out of tries or create a new account. What in the unprofessionalism is that when I end up with 376434 square accounts???
I read on a subreddit from a square employee that it's a new feature that the health insurance card is approved and that the app sometimes struggle with our cards being in french. I just don't have time to lose anymore. I even gave my social insurance number when I created my account. I linked my bank account too.
Has anyone else dealt with that? Is there a way that somebody can manually verify me or something??? This is not very user friendly and not customer service oriented if I need to get a passport or a driving license when I am already offering two very valid private information to create my account (ID card + SIN).
Hopefully somebody can help me resolve this issue.
