I'm a US Business with Canadian client, what currency should I invoice in?

My client is based in Canada and I have already given them a discount to offset the conversion costs. I want to make sure the invoice is in $1000 Canadian and not US. How do I make sure that happens?

I believe that you will bill them in US dollars and when they pay the customers bank will do the conversions.  That is info based of an older answer so it is possible it has changed.
