How can I keep track of the same items with different variations price?

[The title of this thread has been edited from the original: Adding inventory with $ variations]

Hi, I'm new to Square, just in the beginning process of setting up my inventory.

The items I make and sell can be sold 3 ways, but they are the same item essentially.

1. Sold my me $

2. Wholesale pricing - different $

3. Commission Sales (by retail stores that carry my product) - different $ again.

How do I set up the item, track it in 3 locations (above) and how its being sold by price in each location.

I know...not asking for much, but I'm sure theres a Square genius out there with all the answers!

TIA! Nord_A

Hello @Nord_A,

Thank you for posting in the Seller Community.

Currently the best method would be to create the same item in your inventory 3 times, each named after the type of price method. For example you would create an item A under:

  1. Item A - Self-Sale
  2. Item A - Wholesale
  3. Item A - Commission Sale

You would then replicate this model for every item and each of your 3 locations. This way you can look back at item sales associated for each type of sale classified.
