Hi, I have a website through Shopify but would like to go through someone else.
If I decide to go through Square, can you move my whole ready made website over or do I need to start a new website?

Square online is it's own platform with an interface you can customise. You will need to rebuild your site within the square framework.

I'd suggest signing up for square, you can access the square online interface for free without connection your domain to see if it suits your needs.

I'd be happy to help you out with this question!

With Square, you have the option of connecting your domain to Square Online or transferring your domain to Square Online. The main difference here is that when you connect a domain, GoDaddy will remain the host of your domain for billing purposes. When you transfer a domain, Square becomes the host and both your website and domain are managed from one account. 

It's worth noting that if you are wanting to quickly set up your Square Online site, connecting is the faster option of the two, and will take approximately 24-48 hours whereas the transfer process will take 7 - 10 days to complete.

If you're not comfortable completing these steps on your own, you can always reach out to GoDaddy directly to let them know you have built a Square Online site and will need to update your DNS settings. They will be able to assist you in making these changes.
