Editing a customer info to add a note but says "Please enter valid email" & will not save.

I have had this issue for years and tried searching if this happens to others. When I go to edit a customers info to add into the Notes section it tells me "Please enter valid email" and will not let me save it. There is an email in there already and this is a customer I have had for years. It always happens only when try to add a note, nothing else. It seems like a glitch. Anyone got a workaround or provide some insight why this might be happening? Thanks!

Hi there @Letsbeartful !

 

I'm sorry to hear that you are having an issue with this situation.  I tried to duplicate your issue but was unsuccessful.  My note functionality appears to be working as expected.

 

So as a guess, I would recommend;

  • Try deleting the customer's email address, and then re-add it.
  • Verify with the customer that the email address is valid (although I'm guessing that's not the problem)
  • Look for any non-standard characters in the name, phone, email or address fields, such as !@#$%^&*().   These characters sometimes cause issues in programs.

Hope this somehow helps.   Anyone else have any ideas????
