Can I link a bank account in a different name?

I've recently just made a new Squareup account and I need to verify and add my bank account details. I currently have 3 people helping me out with my business and I was wondering if I was able to verify with my details + address and link my partner's bank account because he handles the funds. When I tried to enter bank account details before verifying ID, it didn't particularly say anything about having the same name or not or I'm not sure if it didn't say that because I haven't verified yet. Just wanted to know.

It depends on the structure of your business.

If you're running a business as a partnership and both of your names are on the ABN you entered into Square then funds can go to a bank account with your name or your parter's name (or both). If the account is in your name without an ABN (eg a hobby business) then the bank account should be under your name for compliance reasons.
