Amending email receipt

I have added a header section to my website's email receipt, I would like to re-word slightly but when I click through to amend there does not appear to be anyway of updating the content, is this a bug or am I missing something?

Thanks @tranguyen  I have worked out how to do this. For the benefit of anyone else scratching their head. I added a header to my order conformation email (Online > communications > Email and Text Alerts - under email previews: Order confirmation > edit email > Add header message). After I had added and saved my header I wanted to go back and amend it, I clicked back into 'edit email' but could not select/update any of the header text. To amend an already existing header you have to click the 'Add header Message' button to get back into your existing header and amend it. If a header already exists the button should read 'Amend your header message', I wrongly assumed I would be adding a second header by clicking the add header button again.

Hope that helps 👍

Hi @HolsPel, thanks for your post.

You can edit the header of your Square Online receipt in:

Square Online Dashboard > Communications > Email & Text Alerts

Order Confirmation > Three Dots > Edit Email > Add Header Message.

From here you should have a pop up box where you can add text.

If you got this far and are referring of the 'Thank you for your purchase!' message displayed above your personal note, this is not a bug. At the moment this cannot be changed. We know this message might not work for every business and it is a feature request to be able to have it customisable. Once I have more updates on that I'll follow up on this thread!

Yes, the order conformation email is the section I'm referring to. I have added a header to my email, that worked fine, but I want to amend the text and I cannot seem to amend it.

Hey @HolsPel, I'm just stepping in for Alegra here!

When editing your confirmation email, you’ll be able to change the email design (colours, fonts, borders, etc.) and add extra text elements, photos or videos.

One thing to note: the email preview that you see in your account includes various pieces of information that can be applied to all order types. However, when customers receive the email, they’ll only be shown information relevant to their order and fulfilment method (for example, if an order is for pickup, then customer will see the pickup instruction you've set included here, but customers ordering for shipping will not see it), so don’t worry about them seeing the wrong information.
