Hey,

Thought I would jump on and see how our seller group is?

How has your 2025 been so far in your salons? We have seen a little more white space than usual but had so many last minute facial and massage bookings which we are loving!!

It is the time of year where we mainly see our returning clients, with less new faces but as the weather gets better this usually rockets.

Have you seen these trends too or are you booming??

What do you think we will see within our industry this year?

Hi Lois. 

Even though I’ve been in the industry for thirty years, my business is still pretty new. This is my second time going solo, and I’m feeling optimistic after learning from past mistakes. I recently set up my own space, and I’ve noticed things have been a bit quiet since the holidays wrapped up, which I kind of expected. On the bright side, I’ve picked up some new clients, and I think that’s thanks to my current clients spreading the word about what I do. Here’s to better days ahead! Really enjoyed your post. I agree that it's been more quiet than usual this time of year. I'm implementing many business shifts that will help me propel the business forward this year. Like you, @SiBellebeauty, I'm also noticing a rise in last-minute services, especially my scalp rebalancing and haircut services.  

I'm a trichologist and cosmetologist and learning really how to fuse those two together over the past few months has been huge. I'm trying to look forward to all of the really cool things that are going to be possible this year.

Busy for me with regulars trying some new services I brought on later in December but not too many new client bookings.  It always seems like once people start getting their tax refunds the year picks up.  I think the next few months will see a boost.

Hey!

Definitely feeling the white space too—we saw it all through 2024 as well. Election years always tend to dip a bit, but I have to admit, last year’s numbers were lower than I expected. Now that we’re rolling into 2025, I’ve been seeing some familiar faces pop back in… probably after those New Year’s resolutions wore off (we’ve all been there, right? 😂). Some of them haven’t been in for a few years, so it’s nice to reconnect!

We also have new technicians on board, so we’re excitedly waiting for that seasonal shift when everyone gets back in the groove of beauty services as the weather warms up. Hoping for a strong spring surge! How’s everyone else feeling about the year so far?

Hey there @Stacelyn24! I’m feeling optimistic about 2025 even though there’s so much going on right now and I believe having an optimistic mindset is what makes things shift towards the positive side of things.
