Hello @Johannyschool and thanks for your question. Business licensing is usually determined at the State level. It looks like you are based in New York state? A quick Google search found this: https://dos.ny.gov/barber
FYI most states do require barbers to have a license and specific schooling/training requirements. Hope this helps answer your question.
Hello Everyone! I'm so happy to be a part of this community. Curious to see if there are any independent reps out there. If you're an independent contractor or independent rep for a company, please give a shout out here.

Hi @Divadayspa and welcome to the group! 😊 Tell us a little about yourself and your business!
I am looking for a company that would wish to place BON-NARE nasal moisturizing lotion into their product line. A lotion designed for the nose (which never existed until BON-NARE) is the safest and most effective way to help prevent nosebleeds and nasal dryness/crusting. [see website: bon-nare.com]
My Ear, Nose, & Throat patients have found BON-NARE to be remarkably effective and to feel a sense of relief immediately after its application to their nose over the last six years.
BON-NARE's wholesale price is $5.95; retail price is $9.95.
BON-NARE contains pure, natural ingredients and no drug of scent.

Welcome, @YA_ - happy to have you in the group! Your website looks awesome and I love the branding and packaging, too! 😍
Do you have any recommendations for getting started with your products?
Hi Elisabeth,
Thank you for the welcome and for your kind words about my line! I recommend starting with the cream that meets your most need. So if your body overall is really dry start with a small 3.3.oz hydrating body cream, if lips are chapped go for the vegan lip elixir or if your hands really need some love the vegan hand cream. LOL I hope this is helpful.
I'm looking forward to being in the group! If your face is dry email me your mailing address (to [email protected]) and I can send you a few small samples.
Happy 2022!
Ok so I am new to this but I was with Pure Romance for 4 years and quite successful then had to take a step back for about 3 years. Now I am back and while some of my clients are still there others have just lost interest or moved on. I am really struggling to make new connections when last time it was so easy. Does anyone have any advice that might help?

Have you tried a newsletter? I paused my business a few years ago when I went to school in England. When I returned I sent out a simple newsletter announcing I was back plus how it went and future plans. Tons of my clients reached back out to book or just say hi. It was a great way to get a conversation started with people I hadn't seen in over a year.
No I haven't, unfortunately I made the mistake of not backing up my contacts from my COO before I left and I lost all of them. However I do still have the contacts I had on social media so I have started there. It has been slow but I keep telling myself "don't give up even people at the top started somewhere"
Hi Jenn,
Whilst you have partially detailed a scenario of leaving a business and returning after 3 years and that you're struggling to make new contacts, you've completely left people in the dark as to what your business is / does / did. This would require people researching your business simply to answer your question, people don't have the time to do that. Additionally, you need to detail what methods of acquiring new business you have already tried, and what kind of a response you got from that.
If you provide some essential details I believe you'll be more inclined to receive fruitful responses.
As it stands, people are naturally discouraged from responding to your message because without seeing what your business is, your target demographic, and what has and hasn't worked, their suggestions may be just what you've already tried, a la the below comment.
I look forward to an expanded description of the problem you face, at which time I will try my best to make some suggestions for you, as I am sure others will too.
Cheers,
Mat
