Is there a way to apply a commission to a medical director for specific services that I perform?

Hey! I use a medical director for certain services (IPL Laser Treatments) and she takes a 10% commission for overseeing and reviewing the client intake forms and charting. I am the one performing the services, so is there a way to flag these services that she reviews and apply the commission to her? I have set her up in teams and appointments as an independent contractor, but because she is not the person doing the appointment, and I am - I can't figure out how I can record her commission so I can cut her a monthly check with her commission? Help!

What about putting under a specific category and then you can run reports by category?

Create an item category named, "Laser" and tag those treatments with it.  Then create a customized report where you can see laser in the Category Sales and add each individual sku down in the Item Sales section.  Before moving forward with this however, make sure you're not in a CPOM (Corporate Practice of Medicine) state.  If you are, commissions to a medical director are not compliant.  Go to AmSpa to learn more about compliance related to medical treatments in a spa (for non-MD owners).

Just curious,  wouldn't it make more sense to pay her a monthly fee instead of commission on your services?

However, you can leave a note on the acct or create a service where you know it's specifically for the M.D. Like when new clients book, they have to book that service. That's one way of keeping track.

Hmm can you do a category roll up where all services you will owe 10% on are in one place, then run a monthly report to calculate her commission on?
