I found the "collect birthday" option on square marketing so I sent that email out.
I would love to hear what you guys are gifting to clients on their birthday.
Spray tans are my primary service, and most women tan for their bday anyways, so instead of discounting that, I decided to move inventory and gift them a lotion instead. It sells for $20 but I buy and pack for $9.75.
I offer 15% off their total purchase. My customers love it because I rarely have sales. I like the free lotion idea.
Give a self-care kit. It is a small cosmetic bag I have made with my logo filled with a handful of samples, an inspirational quote on a card, and a bathbomb or shower fizz. Total cost me about $7.00 and everyone loves them.
I actually preferred the $5 default coupon and went with the smaller size cut out of my margins along with a plan to incentivize customers with $5 size coupons more often in tandem with Square Marketing Texting Campaigns continuing on 3 month rolling cycles.
Have you had luck with the texting campaigns? I've been looking into that idea for a bit. Wondering if it's lucrative
Good question! We've seen surprise gift prompts come in, birthday gift bags, coupons, etc. but I think what really keeps current customers coming back is adding a personal touch to every transaction. This strengthens rapport with the client and makes them feel special. A personalized note can go a long way!
