Iโm opening a new location and was excited to see Iโm close to paying off my loan, so I can have some extra funds to get it up and going for this busy season coming up.
BUT Unfortunately no new loan offers in sight. I typically have one by now and itโs a little bit disappointing. I donโt rely on the loans but they are helpful.
Anyone having luck with new loan offers around 70% paid off lately? I always triple my minimum payment within the first week of it updating. Iโm so confused!! I only have a couple hundred bucks to pay off on it, should I just pay it off and hope for a new offer?
The trend in self-reported loans is trending to a higher paid back % for new offers, which makes total sense, so that more of your new loan is going to you rather than to pay off your previous loan. Most information about the algorithm shows that a manual payback to finish the loan will delay any new offers by a week or two.
Congrats on your second location! For paying off your loan, regardless of which way you go with it the big thing is that no offer is guaranteed. A manual payment is going to be up to at least 10 business days before the algorithm kicks back in once the funds clear. So if you think you will pay that off with normal sales I would just wait.
As for offers around that % paid back, there are plenty of threads in the loan section from other users reporting their offers with the percentage paid back, but it does seem to be up in the 80's.
Any updates? Did you get a loan offer?
No new offer yet, up to 97% paid off now. All in the green.
Any news yet?
Only $1700 compared to the previous $9000
I know not always the best news but it does change again so that's a plus. How was your processing and volume or dollar amount of sales? I am just looking for key points right now and unfortunately, those are never guaranteed either. Watch your metrics for our use really but sales, swipes, volume of swipes, and new customers which equals growth and not just maintaining. You will be through that offer quickly and try to kick in the ones I mentioned and see if that helps. I will say congrats. There hasn't been a ton of activity on here for the ones that post at least. I wish more would use it.
Ohhh, I am sorry to hear that. Was that your offer?
Congrats on your new location! ๐ I totally feel you on being disappointed with the loan offers. Iโm currently 88% paid off, and I used to usually get offers around 75%. It seems like things are changing, so Iโve been checking my Square every dayโjust trying to be patient. But honestly, it would be nice if Square shared more info about the new algorithms or higher standards theyโre using, instead of making changes internally and keeping it such a secret.

You are close. Like @VanKalkerFarms mentioned, the trend does seem to be higher minimum in the 80's it seems, so you are almost there. As for them changing things, Square is actually one of the few that will give you an offer while you still have a balance. Many other companies that offer these type of loans make you repay the whole thing first , and only then an offer may or may not be available.
Keep up the sales, you are on your way!

Thanks for posting on the Seller Community.
New offers are not automatically extended when a certain percentage of an existing loan is repaid, but your business may become eligible for a new offer when your existing plan is closer to being repaid. Keep in mind that we canโt guarantee that another offer will be extended before or after the current plan is complete. If youโd like to submit an additional payment toward your outstanding loan balance, youโre able to do so from your online Square Dashboard. Once the payment has been submitted, it can take up to ten business days for payment confirmation and for your business to be re-evaluated for a new offer. We canโt guarantee that youโll receive a new offer after you make an additional payment or pay off your loan, but if you become eligible, youโll be notified directly in your Square Dashboard and by email.

Received first loan November 2024 paid off in March at 100% and received my 2nd offer 2+ weeks after for a much less amount. Then out of nowhere I got a 3rd loan offer at 60% and was biggest to date in May. Currently at 67% (I think) all green. After the 3rd coming in a lot sooner than other I now know itโs better to wait until youโre about 90% paid off. Iโm still very new to the loan stuff.
Hello, I'm glad to hear about your last offer. How have credit cards been going? Key points are daily swipes and an increase in the dollar amountsโnew customers vs. returning customers. Plus, you are building a relationship with Square. If I remember correctly, my 3-4 loan is about where I started to get consistently better offers. As my business grew, so did my offers. Good luck and keep up the great work.
Hiii!!! All is well. I recently found where I can edit my days working/not working so Iโm sure that helps. Iโve went down to 3.5 days a week from 5 behind the chair. Sales still good cause I make sure my 3 days there Iโm booked solid. Itโs been nothing but cards the last month, like no cash. Iโm not stressing a loan offer this time around, actually once I hit 100% itโs gonna be Xmas shopping time. Hubby is fully recovered from knee replacement YAY!! Now he just needs to get back to workโฆIโm ready to take a break.
Hope all is well with you โค๏ธ
This is so good to hear! Knee surgery can be tough. I'm glad he's all better. Yes, updating hours is definitely a plus. Anything to help that algorithm pick you off. The increase in cards is a big one now. Nice to see you and so happy everything is going good! Good luck ๐ค
Curious so does editing your working hours helps with getting a new loan offer? Iโve never heard of this could you explain?
I read awhile back that if your hours show but you donโt work on those days then it looks like you have zero sales on those days so I went in and edited my days I work so it donโt look like I have zero days because I have went down to part-time versus full-time and on squares and it looked like I probably wasnโt bringing any money three days a week when in all reality I was off those three days so I went in and I edited all that so it donโt show zero on days Iโm supposed to be working I hope that makes sense
