March 2025- Is anyone getting new loan offers?

I’m getting pretty desperate at this point!

We’re currently on our 11th loan and it’s 80% paid off at the moment. I’ve been looking at other posts here, and I’m so curious to know when or even if other businesses are getting new offers. We’re green in all of the parameters.

I’m sure you all are feeling the same pinch we are right now. In the past, we’ve been able to kind of predict when there may be a new offer on its way. I guess I just need some hope at this point 😭

Hi @Inked_By_Dougie

Thanks for taking the time to reach out to us.

We understand that a Square loan offer is important to your business and not being eligible can be frustrating, Keep in mind new offers are not automatically extended when a certain percentage of an existing loan is repaid, but your business may become eligible for a new offer when your existing plan is closer to being repaid.Your account is regularly evaluated for offer eligibility based on many different factors. . If your business becomes eligible to apply for a loan, we’ll notify you through your Square Dashboard

Hi @Brooke34

Thanks for posting on the Seller Community.

We appreciate your loyalty when choosing to partner with Square for your past business loans. Please know that your loan history is reviewed in determining loan eligibility, but there are other factors of your account that are also considered. We can’t guarantee a loan offer even if the key factors displayed on the eligibility page show all “Good.”. We know your business is important and we don’t take that lightly. eligibility is based on a unique formula, but keep in mind that we evaluate accounts as a whole.

Hope that helps, please feel free to reach out to us directly if you have any other questions!

It’s hard believe me. Most people think being your own boss you come and go as you please and off shopping every day 😂😂😂 boy I wish! It’s 24/7 either mentally or physically or both! It’s our baby, our living, we have invested everything into it. And honestly for us to still be here says a lot about who you are! You pushed through some hard times and many didn’t make it but we did! You can do this.  It’s just getting that old way of guarantee of a loan at 70-75%. After a loan or two I believe more people will be happier with it. It’s nice when you get all or most of your loans. That 30% roll over and next thing you know it’s half gone. It’s does seem to be a long wait but honestly worth it. Are your metrics good or trending up? What line of business are you in? With no guarantee of when or if your next offer comes in. Let’s see if you can spike those numbers up! Increase sales vs previous sales, swipes up, increases per swipe and a healthy new amount of new customers! Those are key to a healthy business with growth and no negatives or just one or two. You can do this! If you need help or just need help finding a way to get those numbers up in your business let me know. I can do some brainstorming. Keep that head up and we have made it this far we can make it and 10-20% and get you on kicking it in.

2nd account? When you signed up did you use the same email address or phone number? @ryanwanner @TheRealChipA would this be tech support? Associated account issue?

@Twpchair I don’t think @Gbeauty323  meant a 2nd Square account with the same email address.  That is simply not possible, at all.  Most likely, they meant this is their second business using Square.  That being said, IF that is the case, and if the other “associated” account has negative standing with Square (closed business or not), that will definitely cause the algorithm to not send out offers.  All accounts associated with our TINs must be in good standing.

That being said, @Gbeauty323 , can you elaborate on your “second account” statement?

That is encouraging. I am at 85% no new offer. My sales are by no means peak, but all my indicators are green. I'm really need just 50% of my last loan offer to get me through until I can finish up my financing with the sba. But until that happens I'm really needing a loan. I paid about $36 to Square back in loans and I need that money now more than ever for bills. My loan is up in June but I don't think I will have the 6k paid back by then if my sba financing doesn't go through. So I wanting to get a little cash to catch me up then extend the rest over 18 months. I'm exhausted. But really counting on something from Square right now. After this is paid off it will be 10th Square loan done.

I understand, I really do. How long have you been in the works with the SBA now? I just know with my personal experience over grants though (during COVID) they were very slow. If you don’t think you will reach your minimum payment with Square please don’t hesitate to call them a good week ahead ok. See if you can find a plan for it.  Unfortunately, right now loans are trending higher % paid back.  Not all you will see a handful of 70s and good amount paid off. 85-95% is typical. They want you to do what you truly trying to do. Reinvest back into your business, supplies, improvements etc. The key here is trying hard to show in increase in sales, volume of transactions and new customers. Stay focused and push those numbers up and see if you can trigger the algorithm to pick up on you. What type of business are you? Can you do a weekend or two day sale? Think out of box right now to kick in card sales. With the algorithm as you know there are no guarantees on when or if it picks up on your business. All we can do is dig deep and see if we can get to kick in. Let me know what business you have and maybe I can help you brainstorm something to boost those numbers ok. Good luck to.

I'm not sure what's square is doing i always bank on getting an offer this time of year but I'm at 92 percent paid off and still no offer and when you call in they give you the same generic response of a computer decides it and they have no control over it I'm honestly at the point of if I don't get an offer soon paying off mine and switching to a different card processing company!!

Yes, they still are! The % is trending higher usually around 85-95% percent paid off. Above in the section is says click here. They explained why. Less rollover and more money to invest back into your business. Not all of course, I still see a handful of 70s pop in and a good handful completely paid off. So you are right there. Key points right now are increased in sales vs previous time frame, numbers of swipes up. And new customers are just a few. Also, keeping the negatives down. Honestly, at least on here that post the last two weeks it’s been a ton of loans going out. The only problem is there are about 5 different loan boards going on. Most of the ones I answer are in 2 2025 loans and another one but both say loans or offers 2025. The others don’t get as much traffic. Unfortunately, we all got used to that 70-75% guaranteed and offer in our heads and it’s hard to get those out. But when you do receive an offer it’s nice not loosing that 30~+ percent eating into your offer. My last offer in February. I was around 91% all metrics were up. Sales up 55% and all up. Very good winter for Michigan. My offer was 3x higher but more like 4-5 without that roll over. Good luck and hold tight. Try the other 2 boards and scroll through them and you’ll see people posting finally received my offer comments. It’s moving and picking up. It was tight for a while. Since about October it started to pick up again. Lending on a whole has been tight with all POS and lenders. They are watching the markets, the economy and everything else involved and rates are coming down, they aren’t raising interest rates and things are starting to calm down and that makes happy lenders. Keep those numbers up and the negative at 0 and you will be fine. Good luck to you ok.

Did you ever receive a new offer? I’m currently at 81% paid and no new offer. Usually have one by now. It’s so frustrating.

For a while now the majority has been running higher percent paid back. Up top, the mods have a pinned post explaining why. Not all of course, you still see a random 60-70% post they received one but it's few and far between those. Good luck and hold tight you are just in that range.

We just received an offer last night! I wanted to share just so I can give those of you that are waiting some hope. That was my reason for posting in the first place! We received the offer at about 11:30 pm. There was no email. I just happened to see it in the app. It was accepted right away. It was for about $7000 less than our last offer, but we really needed the boost right now and so we were happy to accept it. It was funded within minutes. We had just hit 85% paid off on our previous loan the day before. I hope this information helps you guys to adjust expectations. Again, I know that there is no guarantee, but I just wanted to share the information to help others like me who want to have at least an idea of what might be going on.

Yesssss! I told you I will be watching for you and hold tight you are or were so close! Ugh, been there and done that with the lower offers before, and hurt yes. Now, I look at it differently though. If received the same offer or 1-3k higher at 70% that rollover just took the offer even lower and put it about the same. At 70% imagine how 7k would have been a gut punch. I am so happy to see your post! Thanks for the update!

I have seen others' posts from 2 days to 2-3 completely paid off. Again, you know what I have to say about it, and if or when you receive the next offer. I'm just giving you a general idea of the majority of users. I do know it is key right now to kick it in one of areas especially like more swipes, increase in the number of swipes, or volume of swipes. New customers vs return or regular customers. These loans are all based on an algorithm of some sort. Especially, ALL the the ones that offer loans. With 1000s of loans going out every day all day worldwide. You have to kick it in. I'm retail and I can run a floor model blowout sale for 3 days and boost my numbers from 20-55%. Find an area of the good things I've been listing and push it hard and see if that works
